When

When

Elephant squeaks, mouse trumpets,
Boxer eats tea and crumpets;
In the sky, flying pig,
Preacher men dance a jig;
Fish out of water, sneeze,
Floating rocks in the breeze;
Tiger stripes change to spots,
Leopard lined dot to dots;
Whale slaps sand with tail,
Worms fight tooth and nail;
Camel sings in the blue,
Rattlesnake yells, “You who!”
Dogs bark on a tree,
Tree barks from a flea;
Rooster moos, cows crow,
Shovel, rake, hammer, hoe;
Dollar bills jingle change,
Blueberries turn orange;
Fireflies light lanterns,
Bedbugs sew patterns;
Inky pencils write wrong,
Snail runs fast and long;
Lights out, night is day,
Then I sit up to pray;
Thunder rolls like a ball,
Ball and pins, quiet hall;
Carpet bag, sell a car,
Paper bag, hold a star;
Grass fades, flowers wither,
Turtles jump, rabbits slither;
Cheeseburger, hold the cheese,
Hamburger, extra peas;
Paper, rock, scissors game,
Play footsy, that is lame;
Blue hair, little girl,
Few hair, boys hurl;
Jump start goes no where,
Pop the clutch, sit right there;
Train stops on a dime,
Moose tracks down a crime;
Plane flies upside down,
Boat plows through the town;
Sharp knife slices hard,
Dull wit, here’s my card!
Miss, match, mash and mix,
Every line, needs a fix!
Make your own, make me smile,
Emily, Dusty, Tess, and Kyle!
