Barbecue

Barbecue

Pulled pork, smoked brisket,
Chicken and a country biscuit;
Piled high on my platter,
Fork or fingers, doesn’t matter.

Eat away, eat away, eat away all!
Eat away, eat away eat away all!

Home fries, baked potatoes,
Sauce made from tomatoes;
All made to the letter,
Barbecue, nothing better!

Eat away, eat away, eat away all!
Eat away, eat away eat away all!

Smelly pens, hogs sloppin’
In troughs, slobbers droppin’;
For dessert, mud pies,
Fatt’nin’ up, no surprise.

Eat away, eat away, eat away all!
Eat away, eat away eat away all!

Cows graze where there’s pee,
Even they take a wee;
After that, eat grass,
Big grins passin’ gas.

Eat away, eat away, eat away all!
Eat away, eat away eat away all!

Chickens scratch in a coup,
Eatin’ where they just pooped;
Feathers plucked show their butts,
Peckin’ order – that’s nuts!

Eat away, eat away, eat away all!
Eat away, eat away eat away all!

That’s weird!  Beasts we eat,
Though they’re not that neat.
Truth is, meat is good,
But, only, barbecued!

Eat away, eat away, eat away all!
Eat away, eat away eat away all!
