On a recent trip to Kentucky, my dad, son-in-law, and I went to an auction. This was a public sale, mind you, but the auctioneer (and owner of the company) had the audacity to talk about Jesus, publicly… over the PA system, before he started the very public sale. Then he had the nerve to ask a local pastor to offer prayer. And the pastor had the pluck to mention Jesus and salvation by no other means than His blood, and being thankful for the day, and that even those who “don’t agree with our doctrine” should find the wherewithal to at least thank the good Lord for being able to get up that morning, etc., etc. etc. And some men had the mettle to say (aloud and during the prayer), “amen!” Did I say that this was public? Public! Somebody should have been offended.
