A glimpse of the Mediator

I’ve been studying a lot in the book of Job lately.  Good stuff there, even if I can relate to him in many ways.  My favorite character in the book is Elihu, the young guy who waited until his elders spoke and then just laid it on the line (I mentioned him in my last post).  Thank you, Jesus, for Elihu.

Elihu is no prophet but you’d never know it by reading his words.  He gives us a great glimpse of the Mediator we have in Jesus when he says in Job 33:28, “He (the Mediator) will redeem his soul from going down to the Pit, and his life shall see the light” (NKJV).  But it doesn’t come unless there is true repentance (v. 27).

Thank you, Jesus, for the assurance of Your redemption and for showing us the Light.
